Firearms Safety and Familiarization Course

Firearms Safety and Familiarization Course
"Firearms safety is not an accident, an attitude or random chance. It is the result of the collective education, experience and actions taken by every firearms owner in our community."
~ Patrick Henry

"None of us were born with a gun in our hand. Every one of us was new to firearms and defensive skills at one point in our lives. At Aegis Academy, we haven't forgotten where we started."
~ Chris White

"Law Enforcement Officers cannot be expected to be every where, every time a criminal decides to run afoul of the law. If it wasn't for the deterrent effect of responsible, armed citizens, I doubt any of us could sleep at night..."
~ Jason Granados

The Gun Control Debate is rife with strong and heavily biased opinions. Learn to differentiate fact from fiction..

The Truth About Gun Control in America

According to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence:
Gun Control in America
“In 2010, guns took the lives of 31,076 Americans in Homicides, Suicides, and Unintentional Shootings. That is the equivalent of 85 deaths each day, and more the three deaths each hour.” “73,505 Americans were treated in hospital emergency departments for non fatal gunshot wounds in 2010.”

The Truth:
In 2010, 19,390 Americans committed suicide using a firearm, 11,078 were the victim of a firearm used to commit homicide, and 344 criminals were shot by police. There were only 606 non-intentional firearm deaths in 2010... 73,505 sounds like a big number until you look at the 2,771,497 Americans who were treated in hospital emergency departments for non-fatal motor vehicle accidents..

The Aegis Academy Response:
While and the anti-gun Lobby pays universities to fabricate statistics, rallies against our constitutional rights, empowers criminals and plays politics with the death of children, we’ll be here giving them, and all Americans a fighting chance!

Pam:
The thing about Aegis that impressed me the most is how intelligent the course is. Everything is well thought out, very informative and above all, safe. This is not the school that will send you on your way as a certified gun handler via a one day, 2 hour class. The standards are high here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Pat, Jimmy, Steve, Steve and Howard were absolutely wonderful instructors. They all have extensive experience, are incredibly friendly, and very patient. VERY PATIENT. They did an amazing job at making everyone feel comfortable. Any question you have at all, they had an answer or would find it for you. If you are looking for a course on any kind of gun, Aegis is the place to go. Professional, experienced and thorough education is what you will get here. Read More..
